ICT Assignment
Introduction
This assignment involved coursework and the setting up of E-Learning course material on Blackboard for my Fire Safety students.
In this report I will give a short explanation of the techniques I used, together with the relevant screenshots I included on Blackboard.
I will also examine the course statistics generated from student use, for example: student access statistics and quiz results statistics.
I will finish this report with my conclusions on the production of the E-Learning course and the outcome of the statistics produced.
Background
E-learning is a method used to facilitate and enhance learning through the use of computer and communication technology. Devices involved with e-learning may include: personal computer; digital television; P.D.A.s; mobile phones; the use of the Internet; email; discussion forums and software such as the one used in my assignment, ‘Blackboard’.
E-learning may be used for distance learning but can be used to supplement direct contact learning in a variety of ways. Students can keep in touch with each other as well as the course tutor. Tests can be conducted on-site, resources made available, presentations provided and assignment material made available.
A Virtual Learning Environment is created with course material being managed by the tutor and made available to all his learners allowing interaction with each other.
A well organised and interactive e-learning environment would contain text, pictures, sound, video, animation and interactive exercises.
Rational
As I am a Health and Safety Tutor providing a Fire Safety course for students from various industrial sectors, I have decided to offer an e-learning environment to all my learners to supplement and enhanced the course I offer.
The Basic Fire Safety in the Workplace course which includes Fire Safety in the Home will offer a variety of resources and exercises for all my learners. Different versions of some

We outlined the objectives, and goal. The e-learning module precisely follows the order of objectives, and elaborates them clearly. The e-learning module is narrated to reinforce learning. The e-learning module was built with power point, and then the file was converted so that it could be accessible on YouTube. By doing this file conversion we are able to share our work on many other social media sights. This also gave us the ability to post our e-learning module outside of the discussion board, and we did pass the link of our e-learning module to all of our classmates and invited them to provide…
