Resident Assistants One of the first people you will meet when you move into The Castilian will be your Resident Assistant, or your “RA.” Your RA plays an important part in the development of a community on your floor. They plan events for their residents, and are available to help with any issues that may arise. It is very important to keep in mind, however, that your RA is also a student. The RA is responsible for informing the residents of the rules and regulations of the building and for seeing that students respect them. They are also the person with whom you can share your criticisms, hopes and aspirations for life at The Castilian and in Austin. We encourage you to seek out your RA for any assistance you might require. Common Areas The facilities available at The Castilian include an indoor swimming pool, recreation room, movie theater, fitness center, study lounge with an available group conference room, laundry room, computer room, vending machines, and television lounges.
