Challenges In HR
Human Resource is a very important part of any company regardless of the size of the company. The main purpose of human resource is to hire qualified employees while keeping the cost low yet provide benefits and training to retain those employees to make a company successful. To maintain the standard of a company HR has to face many challenges and come up with strategies to face those challenges. With many changes happening in work area, it must be extremely challenging for Human Resource Management to maintain the standard of a company. With many questions in mind such as what can be the reasons human resource facing challenges, what kind of challenges they are facing, and how to overcome those challenges, I started researching on these topics and came up with many articles that provided great amount of information and surveys that provides a clear answer to my questions. This paper is based on the report, “What 's Next: Future Global HR Trends” conducted by Mark Schmit, the executive director of the Society of Human Resource Management.
The main purpose of this article
The article “What 's Next: Future Global HR Trends” provides an in-depth information of how the changing ‘nature of work and workers’ are challenging the Human Resource Management in adapting to a rapidly changing worker profile, globalization and diversity in the work force, understanding the delicacies of workers’ qualifications, hiring qualified employees while keeping the costs low, retaining and engaging the employees, and coping up with technology changes. The article also contains survey results that show the main challenges Human Resource Management is facing globally, discusses the reasons behind the challenges and provides strategies to overcome the situation. “The top three challenges organizations face today are leadership development, employee retention and engagement, and "re-skilling" the HR function, according to a survey of 2,532 business and HR leaders at organizations in 94

    Many female writers write about women’s struggle for equality and how they are looked upon as inferior beings. Kate Chopin and Susan Glaspell exhibit their views about women in many of their short stories. In the short stories “The Story of an Hour”, and “Desiree’s Baby”, Chopin seems to want to address how oppressive treatment on the behalf of men, husbands affects women, wives. In Glaspell’s, “A Jury of Her Peers”, the relationship between men and women imply the oppressive attitudes that men portray of women and their standings as people. Elaine Hedges stated that this story was known for its “challenge to prevailing images or stereo types of women” that society had on them (250). Analytically, the commonality of theses three short stories seems to be these women acting upon the unbearable circumstances, whether it is toward themselves or their oppressor. In many of their works the idea that women’s actions are driven by the men in the story reveals that men are oppressive and dominant and women are somewhat vulnerable, naive and sensitive. Louise Mallard, Desiree Aubigny, and Minnie Foster shared one thing in common: they are the wives of oppressive husbands. Theses authors seem to also show that the women of these stories undergo a transformation from dependent and weak to stronger women free from their husbands in the end. So in the end, due to oppressive male dominance, and a patriarchal society, death is the unconventional outcome for these three characters in some way or form.…

    In an era of organizational flux due to competition and globalization, companies and employees are faced with constant change. Leaders must be able to adapt to change as the environment shifts. HR has been known as the organizational change agent, administrative expert, and employee advocate. More recently they have been regarded as business strategic partners for many organizations. In order to be successful and remain competitive in today’s market, Human Resources (HR) must be considered a strategic partner if an organization wants to flourish. Top executives today commit significant resources to ensure that their company’s functions are capable of rapid change and achieving their goals. Far too often, the Human Resources (HR) function is nominal thus they are not as quick to respond to the rapid rate of change. When “this occurs, companies may be perpetuating or even creating barriers to fully leveraging their human capital.     Design of Human Resource management defines the role of HR. In 21st Century , the whole process has got modernized. Good companies do follow it ( i.e. Infosys) , developing companies like prudent group where I did my SIP, try to follow it.
