The main focused purpose of this organization structure paper is to select two organizations such as Facebook and MySpace. I will compare and contrast the differences of their organizational structures. I will also address and evaluate their organizational functions that made and determined their organizational structures. I will elaborate and explain their organizational design and how these organizations have influenced society especially in the social media world. This has tremendously enhanced communication effectiveness and time limitation.…
chance played a major role in the outcome of each character. It impacts the paths of each…
Truman has a beautiful blonde wife and a best friend in which he could hangout with and share beers over conversations. Peter Weir does a great job at relating Truman’s life to a typical person. He lives in a normal home and does everyday things such as wake up, eat breakfast, and go to work. Most of the society is within the middle class and the environment is filled with sunny days and rainy nights. This concept of his life helps the viewers relate to themselves, and makes them think, your life may also be a television show. A show in which God is the director and you are his star pupil. Your life is shaped by the path that God has set out for you. Determinism is defined by philosophical view that all physical events are caused but mental processes are uncaused (Philosophy.lander.edu). God gives you the free will to make choices that can lead you to a good or maybe even a bad situation. At the climax of the film, Christof is in the process of presenting the first on screen conception, but Truman has not yet come to an agreement with his wife to do the deed. As much as Christof tries to construct ways to get him to do it, Truman’s free will still stands in the way. According to Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy “Free will as the capacity unique to persons that allows them to control their actions.” In Truman’s case, he does not…
Everyday, you make decisions that affect the path that you have taken, to different degrees, resulting in the current situation you now find yourself in. Chaos Theory reflects the fact that however small the decision may be, the consequences have the potential to be substantial. These day-to-day decisions, may have huge implications on tomorrow’s, thus one would believe/hope that they are made rationally and reasonably. This essay aims to discuss whether these decisions we make are rational in the economic sense and reasonable in the lawyer’s sense and whether it ultimately matters?…

This deterministic approach is too “hand off.” Reshler eventually identifies what luck is, and juxtaposes it to Fate and Fortune. “Luck is a matter of having something good or bad happens that lies outside the horizon of effective foreseeability.” Luck is something unpredictable. Rescher expounds on the conundrum of luck, asserting there are three necessary attributes for an event to correctly be assessed as luck. A beneficiary or maleficiary, a development that is positive or negative from the standpoint of the interest of the affected individual, and that it is fortuitous. This approach seems to claim a methodical game such as chess or even me writing this paper relies on luck. The latter example seems like a hyperbole, yet I am maleficairy in writing the paper, I would also rather be playing Dota 2 instead of writing this paper, I also had planned on writing this paper two nights ago. I’m truly unlucky that I have to write a…
A loophole that is extremely subtle always misleading readers to consider determinism and fatalism equivalent. However, the definitions of these two theories seem to vary considerably. Fatalism focuses on the immutable end regardless of any pre-conditions, on the other hand, Determinism honors the causality. People who use Fatalism and Determinism interchangeably would claim that both theories will lead up to the same end, because everything is determined somehow according to both views. To avoid being confused with fatalism and criticized by Libertarians for its pessimistic worldview, it’s crucial to include random chance to the definition of determinism. No matter how persuasive Determinism is, the dilemma of fifty and fifty might happen while deliberating. For example, a person may want an apple or a pear in the same degree, taking everything into account including desires, reasons, propensity and etc. Till this point, the application of causality may not work, and the chance would take over our mental process, namely, deliberation. Admitting randomness as a part of our actions would not give away to Libertarians because they assume that free actions must be done voluntarily rather than by…
A woman arrives at a crossroads. Will a predetermined fate cause her to take a certain path, or does she have free will to choose a different path? Who is to say? However, based on the nonfiction works The Sports Gene, written by David Epstein, and “Losing Control,” a person’s fate is the result of choices that that person or people nearby the person have made. In “Losing Control,” it is said that prior research or preparation affects one’s fate. David Epstein said in The Sports Gene that people have the ability to direct their fate if they have enough determination. Both these works provide sufficient evidence to support the claim that humans have total control over their fates.…

Fate a word that is often used in everyday life, some believe in it and others don’t. Is our destiny controlled by us or by the unknown? Is the partner that I choose really my “soul-mate?” In an extraordinary plot twist, this thriller sci-fi love story taps into these questions.…
Although some might say that expression “everything happens for a reason” is a bit cliché, I believe, in a sense, it is true. I used to even get mad and think it was annoying whenever people told me this, because I didn’t like it when people were optimistic about things. But now I have learned that it is true. I can’t really explain how I came to realize, because I don’t really know. I guess it was just through my parents and through me becoming more mature and understanding as I grew older. I have learned through my own experiences and struggles of accepting things that happen in my life that I didn’t expect. In my opinion, there is no such thing as luck. Everything that God does has its own special purpose in each of our lives.…

“A man’s character is his fate” once said the Greek philosopher Heraclites. By this he meant that our personalities and actions shape the outcomes of our lives and therefore our destiny. This statement opposes the traditional view that man’s fate is determined by an external force (name it god or even chance). This argument is basically one of faith: do you believe we shape our own futures by how we act, or are our lives programmed in a certain unchangeable way? In other words, do you believe in an omnipotent being that has our lives or at least our futures predetermined? As we shall see, a man’s character defines his life (as his behaviour, emotions and actions determine his daily life), but I believe that our fate is predetermined and unchangeable and that there is divine intervention, therefore a matter that we have no control over. To support the fact that we might be able to define our daily life but not our fates or futures there is the unanswered question of ‘why do bad things happen to good people?’ Furthermore, character is not the only aspect in deciding a man’s fate: external events (chance and Nature) will also alter the processes and outcomes of our lives. Heraclites and Novalis (German philosopher)[1] had an interesting argument, but unfortunately one that only applies in a utopian world.…
