As usual weapons are always essential.
Throughout the age of imperialism, europe constantly advanced in the their weaponry, which led to ahead as they conquering progressed on. One of the few advancement of weaponry was the gun. Gunpowder was the secret weapon for destruction. Europe had the secret weapon in their hands, and they were not afraid to use it. After the gunpowder, europeans came up with ideas to use the gunpowder, and their first idea was the gun. However europe were not the ones who invented the guns. The idea of guns first came from the Arabs, which the europeans adapted from. The idea of guns, led to other weapons such as cannons. Cannons were a huge technology during this time period. Cannons can be used to destroy large building in just one shots. Gun powders was really a essential part for europe during the age of imperialism. Later, europeans built better cannons them covering them in metal, so they stay sturdy, and don’t explode when they are
used. The last but not the least was the sword. swords at that time were a really helpful tool to defeat your enemy. Swords were really long, flexible, and super shape, which killed someone in an instant. Sword wasn’t the important part, steel was. Europe was the best at using the steel. They didn’t make their steel too hard or too soft. Having a really hard sword can be very brittle and break easily. Another important “weapons” which was used was the horse. Horses at that time period frightening to people, and also very dangerous. Riding on a horse was a huge advantage because you were at a raised height, which helped you see your enemy more clearly. Horse were dangerous because they could bite, kick and/or trample people as well. These are just some weaponry which were used by europeans, there are many more europeans used to help them advance during the age of imperialism. Deadly diseases was also a key element during the age of imperialism. Europeans had domesticated animals such as cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, horses and llamas in their houses and farms in their normal everyday lives. Although these animals were very useful due to their workload, and wool, they had a negative effect of humans as well. These animals included deadly disease in their bodies which was very contagious. People got infected by diseases such as smallpox and measles. When europeans got these diseases, their bodies became resistant to these diseases by creating antibodies in their immune system, and not making them sick. So when europeans went to conquer other countries and nations, they made other people very sick, and took control of their place. Other nations didn’t have antibodies like europeans did because they weren’t used to domesticated animals living around them, like the europeans did. Deadly diseases getting passes on by domesticated animals was a crucial aspect of how europeans overthrew other nations, and became one of the powerful nations during the age of imperialism. There are various aspects of europe’s succession during 1870’s and 1914’s. During the age of imperialism, europe was able to conquer large parts of the world due to the fatal diseases, and their excellence use of weaponry. These two factors mainly led europe to expand and conquer. The use of steel and the use of guns led europe to success. The swords are a great tool to face and enemy with the guns and cannons are great for a battle, since they can aim and shoot really far out. Also the disease were also significant, since they killed off many of the other nations since they didn’t have antibodies. Europe having domesticated animals really helped because it helped european to build really strong immune systems. The age of imperialism helped Europe expand and conquer large parts of their world, using their crucial resources.
