Describe, briefly, the changes taken place in international trade under the World Trade Organization especially after year 2000.
International trade means the trade taken place within the world between countries with the aim of the betterment of the countries. If the consideration is placed on the evolution of the trade it has been started thousands of years back with the beginning of the barter system and evolved gradually from internal trade within the countries to the international trade between countries. With the gradual evolution of the trade many more efforts have been taken from the history to establish a more fair system of trading with in the world and one such establishment can be identified as the establishment of the World Trade Organization.
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an organization that is established with the intension of supervising and liberalizing international trade takes place between countries. The organization officially commenced on January 1, 1995 under the Marrakech Agreement, replacing the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), which commenced in 1948. It is an international organization of 159 members that deals with the rules of trade between nations.
The organization deals with regulation of trade between participating countries and it provides * A framework for negotiating and formalizing trade agreements * A dispute resolution process aimed at enforcing participants' adherence to World Trade Organization agreements, which are signed by representatives of member governments and ratified by their parliaments.
Since the commencement on wards the world trade organization actively engaged in improving the trade between the participating countries and to minimize the unfair situations that occur when trading to the developing countries from the actions of the powerful trading partners. To achieve that the
