Changes in My Neiborhood
Changes in my neighborhood in recent years

As long as I can remember my neighborhood, it never rested the same for a big amount of time. Changes have always been happening and they have become a more common fact the last 3-5 years.

These years our municipality in cooperation with the country’s government has done a lot of useful projects in order to ameliorate our life and make it even more practical.

The first thing to be done was improving the public cleaning. Nowadays all the streets in my neighborhood are clear and free of any kind of rubbish or dirt. This project has both esthetic and health benefits as people with respiration health problems suffer less.

Another very useful project was the construction of parks. Parks play a huge role in cities nowadays that cars are numerous and the level of environmental pollution rests in very high levels too.

The parks consist a place where trees and plants grow and make our modern cities greener. It is also a place where children, elderly people and generally residents of all ages go in order to relax and forget the problems they are facing while breathing some fresh air. Especially in my neighborhood the municipality has constructed the so-called activity parks where tools for exercising have been installed.

Finally the municipality has provided all of its residents with bicycles. This bicycles were provided with no cost and are all the same green color symbolizing an environmental change that needs to be made in every possible level nowadays. In less than a week from the day that the project was set you could see nearly everyone in my neighborhood using the bicycles. As a result the huge amount of cars was dramatically reduced.

I hope that my neighborhood and the initiatives that my municipality took can stand as an example for other municipalities in order to make the world a better place to live

However, the city will also have the money they got from selling the property to help build the park. By building the park, you are also addressing the growing budget deficit by creating jobs. For example, you can charge people for boat launching or have a small appliance for fishing and snacks at the park. I think this is the best decision overall because you get to build the business complex which will create jobs and bring other businesses. Also, by building a small park, you will create more jobs and help Rid economy grow. The city want lose any money because the park will pay for itself by having festivals, appliance store and boat…

Being a dog owner myself, I encourage all city officials to consider the development of dog parks for their residents. The ability to utilize a dog park in my local city has not only allowed my dog to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but it's also allowed me to enjoy the outdoors with my best friend, while creating new friends in the process. I find this type of recreation more enjoyable and healthy for all involved, as opposed to being stuck indoors trying to entertain or please a bored canine. Taking my dogs on regular trips to the dog park allows them to sleep better at night, encourages them behave well in social environments and also helps them maintain their weight and physicial appearance. I couldn't be more of an advocate for these facilities.…

Imagine a topographical view of Manhattan in the early 1800’s; all you see is squares and streets. This was Clinton’s Commissioner Plan- to level all of Manhattan to make way for streets and buildings. However, what were not taken to account were parks and recreational areas. This would all change in the 1850’s as landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted architect Calvert Vaux won the right to build their project- the Greensward Plan (CentralParkHistory). This plan would become Central Park, which spans two and a half miles from 59th Street to 110th Street and half a mile from Fifth Avenue to Eighth Avenue. For my second New York City trip, I decided to visit Central Park- one of the largest park’s in New York City.…
