Disruptive technologies caused by technological changes can have different effects on different companies depending on how they handle the changes. In this case the internet was the major reason that made companies to have suddenly changes. Up until the time the internet did not skyrocket the market, all companies had absolute control of it. From then on, companies faced many problems with piracy, copies. Therefore, they had to adept to keep into the market and not lose their copyrights.
