What do we do after finally concluding that Christianity is the truth for which we have been searching? The author gives us four simple steps to follow. They are: (1) Own Up to the Truth about Yourself: Be honest — admit that you are a sinner in need of a savior, (2) Be Willing to Change: Repent — be willing to move away from your patterns of sinful behavior, (3) Believe the Message: Believe Jesus was who He said he was; believe the story of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus; and believe that in Him, you will receive the promise of eternal life. (4) Receive the Gift: To receive the gift, the author offered a prayer you should pray. If you pray it and really mean it, you will become

The UDC was one such group that historian David Blight believes was fighting for control of historical interpretation during what he calls the second era of the Lost Cause. If there is any one point by the United Daughters of the Confederacy that displayed their support of the Lost Cause, Caroline Janney provides the example with the women’s intent to commemorate the faithful slaves “when they pressed for the erection of a national faithful slave monument.” Janney is showing how the South tried to impart a belief that this type of monument would show how slave owners valued and respected the slave. Even though the women avoided discussing race, Janney explains, the women went out of their way to praise the African Americans but only in the…

Half Lost is the last book, in the Half Bad series. Half Lost is a novel about witches, who are divided into two congregates, Blacks, deemed deathly and ruthless, and Whites, considered pure and noble. They both live alongside Fains, humans, without their knowledge. Nathan was the only witch born, in history, who was half Black, and half White, because of this he was shunned, and loathed by all witches. The White Witch Council, which was run by Soul, and Jessica, Nathan’s half-sister, along with an army of elite fighters, termed hunters, planned to kill every single Black witch, plus anybody who displayed any compassion towards them. Lastly, chapter 14 talks about the importance of overcoming resistance. An example that is giving is the following “Despite only a single word of difference, the effect of the two types of signs was dramatically one-sided. The sign that reminded the doctors to protect themselves had no effect on soap and gel use. But the one reminding them to protect their patients increased usage by 45 percent” (Cialdini, 2016). This example can be applied to Agrobionsa’s laboratories. Employees need to wear a face mask among other protection wear to avoid contaminating the products. For that reason, if signs are placed in the bathroom that remind them to wash their hands and use gloves as a protection of the product, then they will be more likely to follow…

This mission reminds us that for the Kingdom of God to continue to break in, individual lives need to be changed, while being motivated and equipped for transformation. Our Book of Discipline offers this cue: “God has used our church to save persons, heal relationships, transform social structures, and spread scriptural holiness, thereby changing the world.” When we change lives and introduce people to the all-loving nature of God, we indeed transform the world. When making disciples, the Church welcomes people into community, educates them on God’s call for Christians, and equips them toward using their spiritual gifts to serve as change agents playing a role in bringing about the Kingdom of…

This brings me to my final point. We are saved from our sins by faith. When we hear the gospel, we must have faith and believe that the word is true. Then must trust in the Lord our God, fully. The final act involves repentance. This does not just merely mean to feel sorry for what we have done. We have to actually have a “change of mind” and turn from our wicked…

I believe that Relationships are the connections between people which can be expressed in many different ways or situations. In the poem ‘manhunt’ by Simon Armitage he explores the relationship between a wife and her husband, whom is an injured solider who has returned from war. In nettles, the relationship is between a farther and his son who has fallen into a "bed of nettles." Both poets show the consideration felt by the reader of the poem for the other person in the relationship. In the manhunt, the narrator’s consideration is for the mental suffering which her husband is suffering. Similar to Manhunt; in ‘Nettles’ it is the father’s care for the injuries of his son which he feels was caused by the nettles.…

One can also give their own personal story or testimony of victory since giving their life to Christ. By witnessing to people, regardless of their background, God works through us to get His work done. The teaching of faith is very important in Christianity. My first step is what my church calls “getting good” and this ultimately means that you get good with your life. You stop to think before acting out or you do kind things for those around you during the day. I personally need to get good with thinking before i speak and working on putting more time in with God. In order to do this i need to try harder to think before i make mistakes, and i also need to make time to praise and worship Jesus as much as possible. I know i will work my hardest to do this because it really is time for me to change.…

Adams four steps for change is centered on changing people heart. Christian counselors want to help people to change into believers so that they can be led by the Holy Spirit and be free. Scriptures are used to help people change by teaching, convicting, correction and discipline training. The first step is to teach. Teaching is informing people to submit to the word of God which gives the truth. Then there is conviction, which is the laws and for people to acknowledge sin.
