Kvothe the lives in the forest for many months till he met 2 men who took him to the city of Tarbean. There, he lives as a thief for more than 3 years, almost being killed and getting a fortune twice. His father’s lute broken by kid brawlers and selling his book for quite a bit. He uses that money to fancy himself. He decides he is going to go to the University, with no money, he gets in through them quizzing him.
4. Not much happened during his first term at the University, he stayed at a dorm. Kvothe for once in many years, has friends, Simmon, Wilem, Manet, and Sovoy, which he gets into trouble and odd situations in with. Kvothe as well ends up getting whipped for punishment without reaction, giving him the name Kvothe the Bloodless, and jumps off a roof of a 3 story building from a trick from a professor.
5. The second term began and yet again Kvothe had no money. He gets a loan from moneylender Devi, which due to the principle of the loan he had to buy a lute. Kvothe then begins focusing on the medical studies, math, advanced sympathy, and becomes the apprentice of the Master Artificer Kilvin.
