Chapter 2 Case Study 1
A Midsize Pharmaceutical Company
CASE QUESTIONS:
1. How should Jennifer go about making her decision?
Jennifer should make her decision from developing a set of criteria against which the project will need to be evaluated, also try to build list assumptions; another thing would be to gather all data and information for each project, and evaluate each project against the criteria. I think if she follows these she will make a great decision.
2. What kind of additional data or information should she collect?
Information that Jennifer should collect is stuff like Milestone schedule, Major risks, Approval requirements, and Key assumptions I believe if she collect this information she will have a better idea of what she should pick.
3. What exactly should Jennifer require the others to submit in the way of proposals?
Jennifer should ask for a project charter, which should have a summary of the key conditions and parameters for the project, also establishes the framework for developing a detailed baseline plan for performing the project.
4. What do you think Jennifer should do with the $2,000,000? In explaining your answer, address the concerns and positions of Julie, Tyler, Jeff, and Joe.
I believe that Jennifer should gather all the information that is required. Let Julie, Tyler, Jeff know that she is now looking into a forth option Joe .I feel this will apply pressure on the team force them to use there critical thinking skills on only bring the best data to the table .I believe that Jennifer should invest in Jeff to help update the company’s computers. This will bring more customer support
