Character Analysis: A Wrinkle In Time

Meg is a girl with mouse brown hair, glasses, braces, and was born in a family with two older twin brothers and a younger brother as well. Her younger brother, Charles, was said to have blonde-hair and nothing much was said of her twin brothers. Meg’s Mother, a fiery red-headed scientist, who married Mr. Murry, also a scientist with brown hair and glasses. Meg meets and falls in love with Calvan O'Keefe, a tall red-headed boy full freckled-face, who joins them on her travels. Three “tramps”, named Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Who, help Meg with an issue she has. These women took them to meet a happy medium to read them parts of the future. As the rising action begins, Meg meets the Mrs. Ws and Calvan. She also travels with the Ws in the rising action. In the climax of the story, Meg saves her father, her brother gets taken by It, and Meg falls ill. The falling action consists of Meg getting better and saving her brother from Camazotz. The resolution happens when everyone travels back to earth safely.

The main starting conflict in A Wrinkle in Time relates to Meg’s father’s disappearance when she was young and her wanting to find him. The W’s tessered Meg her brother and Calvan to save him. As they save Meg’s father, her brother gets taken and Meg falls ill. They tesser from the planet, so fast they don’t solve the problem of the Black Thing. This unsolved problem has no effect other than a cliffhanger for the next book.

The climax begins just after Charles’s mind gets taken over by, It. Calvan and Meg continue to look for Meg’s father and luckily find him as he helps them. Charles knows of them looking for him and knows how to help but can’t. Meg’s dad believes they're in danger and tesseres them to a separate planet.
