Character Analysis Harrison Bergeron
A character in Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut that I admired was Harrison.
This is because in the story he stood up for what he thought was right even if it meant that he would die.
An example of this is when he escaped from jail and told people he was their emperor.
This is shown by the quote “ I am the emperor! Cried Harrison . “do you hear? I am the emperor! Everybody must do what i say at once!” he stamped his foot and the studio shook.”
This example shows that He’s telling everybody that he’s the new leader and that they should do what he says.
It's obvious that some people aren't happy with the government and that they want to be individuals and not be all the same

Troy Maxon represents a modern tragic character very well due this is fatal flaw, and downfall by the end of the play. Though he may not meet the requirement of being a character of nobility or of high class, all the other parts of the definition of a tragic character fit him very well. We see throughout the play that his authoritarianist behavior causes him to treat his family in a way that distances him from them. By the end of the story the tragedy ends with Troy dead, and without his family.…

Charles Pete Conrad was one of the few men to walk on the moon. However, one thing I can't believe about him is his untimely humor. Charles Pete Conrad was the 3rd person on the moon, with him being on Apollo 12. He goes up there, (his team's mission being a precision landing) with intensity filling the air. Also it was very dangerous because lightning strikes had taken out power in the Command Module 5 days earlier, completely erasing any form of guidance. Later, as he was stepping on the moon's floor, he joked about his small height comparing it to Neil Armstrong. He said himself – "Whoopee! Man, that may have been a small one for Neil, but that's a long one for me." I just find this so funny because of the situation he's in, and how he…

This man reminded me of Hitler almost except Hitler used more psychological tactics and convinced a whole nation that they were superior to the Jews. The Emperor here just threatened everyone to side with him or they were to be executed, so logically these citizens just did what he said to avoid dying. I can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same exact thing they did. Most people were probably scared of this man and the amount of power he obtained and how he was using his power was threatening within itself.…
