Going from child to adult isn’t too much of a stretch from the Pacesetter way the steel company is all too familiar with. Like Aviva, many of Pacesetter’s employees and clients are decades-long members of the company. This is attributed to years of genuine care and concern for every individual that interacts with the Pacesetter family. When she joined the team after graduating magna cum laude from law school in 2010, Aviva knew that continuing…
Chris Garder in “Happiness for Sale” struggled financially as he was a homeless single father. Chris’ determination did not let any obstacles bring him down, instead he found an objective that kept him motivated, such as “the beauty of the [Ferrari]” (7). He questioned the owner’s success, and from that point on, he wanted to become a stockbroker. Chris’ mind set was on one track, he knew his goals and his optimism kept his spirit alive to where he turned his business from a “two-story building that [looked] like a squat glass box” (4) into an entrepreneur who “favours suits and Maui vacations” (11). These inspirations are what gave Chris the strength that he held onto for guidance and led him to reach his goals in a modest way. Which now he shares his life story hoping others will take the opportunity to do good form themselves and others around.…

She is always motivating us and sharing her vision of the future with us. Lynn also communicates very effectively with us through weekly news reports or via emails.…

According to Dads 4 Kids, “Children from mother-only families have less of an ability to delay gratification and poorer impulse control (that is, control over anger and sexual gratification.) These children also have a weaker sense of conscience or sense of right and wrong.” Throughout the book, we often think that a lot of Peekay's behavior is wrong but it seems most of it roots from his dysfunctional family. The lack of parental guidance in Peekay's life has taken a major effect on his life and actions.…

The positive aspect of this approach is that the task is always going to be completed on time and to a high standard, but the team may not feel that enough time is spent on developing their skill set and stronger members of the team may feel that they are carrying weaker members of the team creating disharmony within the team as a whole. This will probably go un-noticed if the task is the main focus and the first indicator may be a high turnover of staff and a reduction in overall performance.…

Life can be a treacherous journey that even the toughest people have trouble making it through. No one, not even the greatest superheros can get through it alone. We all need some sort of mentor. Someone like Mr. Miyagi was to Karate Kid and Athena was to Odysseus. I am no different, a mentor’s job is to lead and guide you through whatever life throws your way. My mentor has done that and much more. Normally it seems most mentors either come from different ethnicities or cultural backgrounds but, not in this case. Me and my mentor share a ton of the same characteristics and traits. Although he is older and much more wiser, we are still close enough in age to experience and enjoy some of the same cultural activities. One of them being checking…
