Character Analysis Of Eckle In A Sound Of Thunder, By Ray Bradbury
“A Sound Of Thunder,” written by Ray Bradbury, is a sci-fi short story about Time Travel. During the first page, the official’s warning may foreshadow a large mistake made by Eckel, such as shooting something incorrectly. The Main Character, Eckle, seems to have motives concerning his joy for hunting and spending great money to satisfy that joy. Another character, Travis, seems to greatly dislike Eckle, possibly due to his cautious attitude not mixing with Eckle’s overconfident feelings. Seeing Eckle’s emotions flux and jump around like a rollercoaster, it’s safe to assume he has never experienced time travel, or the fear he is taunted with by the T-Rex’s sudden presence. Eckle also feels awe and wonder as he enters and travels through time,
