Grey’s Anatomy, a medical drama that has been on air for the past 11 years, is my all-time favorite show. Not only is the plot of the series extremely riveting and tear-jerking, but the characters are all able to relate to an aspect of your life even through your most difficult hardships, especially the protagonist, Meredith Grey. Meredith Grey, is known for her well-roundedness not due to her ability as a surgeon (as she is the head of General Surgery), but because of her willingness to aid others when they’re in times of trouble. This is especially true when it comes to her best friends; Christina Yang, Isabella Stevens, Alex Karev, and George O’Malley; who struggle through deaths, countless failed relationships, and illnesses throughout…

For a father to molest his daughter at a very young age and then rape her at the age of twelve " He waited till I was twelve to really do it" (Simpson 456) that is just awful, disgusting, and really sad. He's the one who is supposed to protect her from strangers, raise her with good principles and values and over all help her become a positive person and be there for her whenever she needs him in a good way and a positive way, and not destroy his own daughter's life. For me that is the peak of selfishness. Jenny went directly to adulthood, because children should never have to deal with what she had to deal with.I think Jenny needed her mom to be there for her, and frankly I think if her mom was always there, her dad would never be able to harm her. If only she gave her daughter some time to just talk then probably Jenny might have trusted her and told her what was going on…

Without altering the dish, the New York Strip was lackluster in the appearance department. It was as if the devil himself spawned in the kitchen of Claim Jumper and defecated onto a plate. Still, I relished the steak, dwelling on how the dryness and bitter taste cleverly allowed the accompanying green peas total dominion. Furthermore, the mashed potatoes were an excellent addition to top off this catastrophic dish. I despised the thin strips of potato skins left in the mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were like eating oatmeal with strands of sandpaper glued onto each bite. The dish was an atrocity, and it should never be served again until the chefs learn to grill a steak…

He calls the waiter over a second time, demanding an explanation. “This is… Well, it’s just bad,” he stutters, seemingly to the utter offense of the waiter. “Your food is perfectly fine,” they again insist, despite the accusation. To this, Mallard shakes his head in resignation. Unfortunately, his voluminous afro turns what would be a serious situation into a comical one. His action was, however inadvertently, a lot like a poodle playing tug-of-war. Seeing the waiter’s stifled giggles, he realizes this, and his face turns beet red. “T-this is bad,” he says, before breaking down laughing. “You said that already,” the waiter comments, laughing as well. “Well, it seemed worth repeating,” he sassily replies, still cracking a smile. The waiter takes a deep breath, trying to gain their composure, and returns to the kitchen; this time, Mallard follows them, hoping to see exactly what is going on with the cooks. Inside, he sees unimaginable horror: the chef is duct-taped to the ceiling, screeching, while huge, sentient carrots with tree branch-like arms man the various stations, ruining the food with scum and dirt pulled from the stoop…

“Anything dead coming back to life hurts” (Morrison 35). Does anyone have a firm grasp on who or what Beloved actually is? Beloved is the focal point of Toni Morrison’s novel Beloved, but she has also been the center of many debates. Morrison’s depiction of Beloved throughout the novel is unclear and much is left up for interpretation by the reader. Is Beloved the ghostly reincarnation of Sethe's murdered baby, a flesh and blood version of the spirit Paul D. drives from the house? Or is Beloved unquestionably a ghost? The uniformly accepted notion that Beloved is a ghost is interesting, given that evidence throughout the book suggests that she is a reincarnated being.…

The night before the big event, a more casual, albeit quite swanky, rehearsal dinner was scheduled at the historic bar and grill attached to the hotel. Sol's 88-year-old father, David, was riding the train from New York and two of his favorite indulgences, lobster and prime rib, were on the menu. David was quite proud of his son and fond of his soon-to-be daughter-in-law. He relished the thought of mingling with old friends and spending time with his family.…
