Character Analysis: Wonder By Palacio

During this week of reading Wonder By Palacio a quote that popped up to me was “Does August see how other people see him, or has he gotten so good at pretending not to see that it doesn’t bother him? Or does it bother him? When he looks in the mirror, does he see the Auggie Mom and Dad sees or does he see the Auggie everyone else see? Or is there another August he sees, someone in his dreams behind the misshapen head and face?” because It made me think about how August feels about how other people look at him and how his parents look at him. Also it made me wonder how Mom and Dad look at August is different by the way other people look at him and how he looks at himself. This made me feel bad for August having to deal with what other people
