Although I have been fairly versed in multiple extracurricular activities throughout the last for years, I have dedicated myself entirely to service Leadership through Key Club International (KCI). KCI is the world's largest, foremost high school service leadership program in the world and has been the largest foremost influence in my high school career. I have served under multiple positions, the highest of honors being my current tenure as the Rocky Mountain District Governor in which i oversee all of the Key Clubs in Colorado, Wyoming and portions of Nebraska and New Mexico, and there other elected officials. My involvement has brought to my immediate attention my passion for leadership, but more importantly my love for serving others and…

Everyone has some leadership quality to them, large or small. To be a leader that people want to be like takes more, I’ve learned this through experience and the leadership group I’ve been apart of the past two years. Doing the right thing, promoting the school, having a positive attitude, and many other things go into being a leader. Leadership…
Explain what peer leadership means to you and how you plan to apply that as a Jr. Volunteer Board Member.…
Since the beginning of this school year, I have been visiting La Cumbre twice a month to help coordinate school events and elections and advise students about leadership. This experience has allowed me to make a difference in my community by helping students grow, while growing more myself. My hope is that, in the future, leadership programs involve all students. I believe that school leadership needs to be representative of all the demographic groups, not just the…
I have involved myself in a multitude of different organizations throughout middle and high school. With everything from experience in scouting, to coaching, to work with Habitat for Humanity, the importance of leadership skills has become evident to me. They have given me experience that has made me more successful in school currently, and I intend for them to help me in my educational endeavors at East Carolina University as well. The experience I will receive in the…
Last year I was asked to be a small group leader for incoming 7th grade students this year. Having known what it felt like to be a new student in a completely different school I jumped on the opportunity to help. I, like Billy tried to be open and welcoming, encouraging the 7th graders to become involved in the Xaverian community just like Billy did for me and I’m sure many others. My goal was to be able to help the 7th graders in any situation whether they needed advice or just want to share a funny story. As a student council senator I would try to do the same. I would strive to always be friendly and kind to all Xaverian students wanting everyone to feel welcome. I would encourage other to join clubs and activities and go on service projects like X-Act and Christmas in the city. Most of all I would want each and every student at Xaverian to feel accepted and to feel excited, knowing that they are each a key part in the larger, greater, Xaverian…
The National Honors Society places a strong emphasis on the cornerstone traits of character, leadership, and service within the school and outside of school. I have met, and in some cases exceeded these requirements by being honest, assisting others, and participating in school activities.…
Leadership is one of the core values a member of the National Honor Society must have. A true leader sets goals and works to achieve them. I believe that I show leadership in all things I do. In sports I am very vocal and give positive encouragement to my teammates. In middle school I stepped out of my comfort zone by running for student council and campaigning against many of my fellow classmates. While I was not be privileged with a spot on student council it forced me to work harder and achieve a spot on the National Junior Honor Society my eighth grade year where I worked with my classmates in planning school functions.…
Character, service, and leadership were some of the pillars in the organization, National Honor Society, which I was privileged to be involved with. It is not only just the pillars for an organization, but they are important words that motivated me to become a better person and to make a change in my community.…
I believe that character, service, and leadership are qualities that I possess in order to be selected for National Honor Society. My participation in sports, clubs, and community service throughout my high school career has helped me learn what it is to be a leader, and what it means to have good character. I have been on the cross country and track team for my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. I will also run cross country and track when I am a senior in the fall. Being a part of both of these teams has strengthened my character, and has made me a better leader.…
During my time as the head of committees on the student council and National Honor Society, I’ve planned school dances, intramural activities, clothing and food drives, fundraising parties, and many other events. Utilizing my leadership skills and service experience, I would add to the social environment at Columbia by encouraging students to become more involved in the community and to participate in service that truly helps those in need. I’m an agent for positive change in whatever community I’m in and I anticipate being an active advocate for change in the Columbia community.…
Being an effective section leader means being willing to make sacrifices, and above all to be a hard worker and to strive for nothing but the best for yourself and your peers. I have a lot of experience in leadership roles, because I was Vice President of my NJHS class and for the past two summers, I have volunteered to supervise and guide first and second graders at Vacation Bible School. I also have played soccer since I was about four years old, and have played club and select soccer since about fifth grade. In both seventh and eighth grade, I played basketball and volleyball on the A team and participated in track and cross country. Being a part of these teams has given me a great experience in leadership roles and the way I have to act…
Each time I moved I had to start as a ‘newbie’, which prevented me from obtaining a leadership position. However, I still used the qualities of a leader to help the freshmen with their marching technique and memorizing their music. I also assisted my section leader and drum major when possible, tidying the band room after a competition, or passing out water at performances.…
My experiences in student council have allowed to work with others in leadership positions and to plan activities for large numbers of people. The main responsibilities of a student council member at my high school is to raise money for senior class activities and to increase school spirit. While both have been a challenge to accomplish, the officers have been able to increase school spirit through school wide assemblies…
