His choice can be harmless or harmful. Paul, took the opportunity to switch. But, the only way he got on Tangerine’s soccer team is because Paul’s mother, Mrs. Fisher got rid of the IEP form from his Cume Folder. This shows about his character by the way he “ratted” the Tangerine soccer players and then went to their school to play on their team. There were many important characters in the book Tangerine. Five characters that I considered to be important are Paul Fisher, Joey Costello, Erik Fisher, Paul’s mom, and Paul’s dad. Paul Fisher is a 7th grader that has moved from Texas to Florida. He had coke-bottle cap glasses from some incident he can’t remember. He also plays goalie for soccer. Joey Costello is Paul’s new friend. Joey’s brother, Mike, had passed away earlier in the book, from getting struck by lightning while playing football. Joey also enjoys playing soccer. Erik Fisher is Paul’s older brother. He is a big-shot football player wherever he goes. Paul’s mom is part of the Homeowners Committee and likes to stick up for things she believes in. Last, but not least, is Paul’s dad. He liked to brag a lot about his son Eric, and is the new Director of Civil Engineering for Tangerine County.…

According to Stephan R. Covey “while we are free to choose our actions, we are not free to choose our consequences of our actions.” Tangerine by: Edward Bloor was about this boy name Paul Fisher moving to Tangerine, Florida where he learned to face his fears about his brother Erik. The character in the story that had the biggest impact on Paul was Erik. First of all, Erik knocked out Tino, Erik and Arthur killed Luis, and finally he was the reason for Paul’s eye problems.…

Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun explores the universal ideas of family, dignity, and hope. Hansberry set her play in an old, once well-furnished and loved apartment in Southside Chicago after World War II. It is the story of an African American family’s struggle to prioritize futures and dreams and decide whose dream is most prevalent; once the family makes the choice to purchase a home with part of the money, they face an entirely new plight. One of the major themes of A Raisin in the Sun is the need to band together as a family and fight discrimination as a unified group, as opposed to a group that cannot stop fighting within itself.…

In the novel Grendel, by John Gardner, portrays Grendel's characteristics altering as he meets new characters; throughout his journey to mankind. Mankind teaches him vast new knowledge he's never understood. His nihilistic and solipsism is formed through the characters in the novel; envy and anger are also shown. He plays big roles in terrifying the Danes and somewhat of the Geats; they mold him into the monster they fear the most. The characters, shaper, man, and the dragon shape Grendel into the monster he so desires. They teach him of lies, false glory, brutality, never ending violence, and wisdom.…
