Characters of a Good Leader
“Characteristics of a Good Leader” By: Deionti Morris

One day someone asked me to name some characteristic of a good leader; immediately I thought of five things; Confidence, open-mindedness, direction, empathy and honesty. First comes confidence, a strong belief and willingness to see things through is an important characteristics of leadership. A leader who believes in the mission and are willing to do what is necessary complete it, will be a inspiration and great resource to their team. Another characteristic of a good leader is open-mindedness. By being flexible to new ideas and open-minded enough to consider them, you better the chance that you will find the best possible answer. Doing that, you will set a good example for your team. A third Characteristic of a good leader is direction. Having the vision to aim for great things and then setting the steps necessary to get there is an important characteristic. By seeing what you or others can become and managing goals on how to get there; a good leader can create impressive change. Empathy; the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. When others see that you are empathetic to there to their concerns, they will be more likely to work with you. Lastly honesty, to me honesty is arguably the best characteristic a leader can have. Those who are honest allow their character to grow. Being honest is really a simple task of just telling the truth. Being a good leader is all about doing nice things and the right things, just not for you but for others also. By doing that you might just become a great leader
