Charity
Do you know what is better than charity and fasting and prayer? It is keeping peace and good relations between people, as quarrels and bad feelings destroy mankind." Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

-------------------------------------------------
Do you know what is better than charity and fasting and prayer? It is keeping peace and good relations between people, as quarrels and bad feelings destroy mankind. (Prophet Muhammad may God's peace and blessings be upon him) at-Tirmidhi No. 2509)

This one was tough to find a reference to, but it looks like this hadith is referred to Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2509

It means she doesnt define herself by a man. She puts herself first - as she should. A real man wants a real woman.

One bad decision can haunt us for the rest of our lives as well as our eternal life of the Hereafter as well. For example, one episode of drunk driving may lead to an accident and potential death. One episode of zina (fornication/adultery) can lead to an illegitimate child that you would see everyday. One episode of deciding to take a job with haram money could mean everything you buy no longer bears its fruits. One episode of missing a prayer could lead to a domino effect of you not caring about the deen (religion) anymore. Etc etc. So let us try to make good decisions, ones that we are proud of in this life and the hereafter, in'sha'Allah (a reminder to myself first and foremost, in'sha'Allah)

One example of a connection between submission and peace or wholeness within the practice of Islam is that at the end of the year, all Muslims must donate at least 2 ½% of their accumulated wealth to needy Muslims. Another would be the fourth pillar fasting. During the whole month of Ramadan, all Muslims who are not sick, menstruating, or nursing must abstain from food, drink, sex, and smoking. They must also give to those who have not known as almsgiving. It says in our textbook on pg. 399, “The hardship of abstaining even from drinking water during these long and hot days is an unselfish surrender to God’s commandment and an assertion of control over lower desires”. As well as building a bond between those who have and those who have not.…
