militia, he spent most of the planning warfare so that he could achieve his missions. During the 800 BC, Charlemagne was made the emperor of the Roman Empire. Charlemagne died in the year 814 having conquered Western Europe and converted most citizens to Christianity. With this, Charlemagne came to be known as the father of Europe.
Aside from a leader, Charlemagne was a very great inspirational speaker for several leaders.
His words were great motivations to leaders such as Napoleon Bonaparte and Adolf Hitler. These leaders looked up to him for advice and leadership examples. Charlemagne was a remarkable leader as he was able to unify Europe. Most of the leaders are not able to handle the pressure and mostly lost it when presented with such a scenario.
Nevertheless, the childhood of Charlemagne was not spoken about in several articles and books. Very little is known about his childhood. Other than his date of birth, no other detail of his life is recorded. The little that we know about Charlemagne is the fact that he spoke Latin and Greek. Also, he understood several other languages and comprehended them properly. However, he could not understand this other language.
Before uniting these empires, the whole of Europe was divided into two main kingdoms that were ruled by Charlemagne and his brother. The division came about after the death of Pepin in 768. After Charlemagne’s brother had died, he took the leadership of both kingdoms under his power. He struggled this leadership and finally managed to bring all the kingdoms under one leadership, although he used forceful
means.
Because of his bravery and exemplary leadership skills, Charlemagne came to be known as the father of Europe. His leadership made people realize the much they could do as a single unit rather than separate entities. It was not an easy task to bring the whole region under a single leadership due to the struggle of power that every individual wanted to retain. However, favor fell upon him as he was a militia man and as such knew the various tactics he would use to conquer the other kingdom that was ruled by his brother, bringing it under his own leadership.
