Laurie dishonestly created a fictional character named Charles to take blame for his bad behavior. Charles told a little girl to say a bad word and the little girl had her mouth washed out with

The fight that broke out between Charlie and his mother before the scene explains Charlie’s exasperation and anger that adds to the childish attitude he adopts as his father comes out to speak to him. He is seen to crave the illusion of being older, of being treated as if he were older when he tells he father that he’s “‘not really a kid. I’m fourteen soon.’” (pg. 135). Despite this craving of maturity that looms on the horizon of the scene and developments through the novel, Charlie is determined to keep the juvenile defiance.…

Reverend John hale was a minister from Beverly and witnessed Massachusetts’ first execution of convicted witch, Margaret Jones of Charlestown in 1648. The Crucible by Arthur Miller is about a group of teen girls convicted in 1692 Salem, Massachusetts for performing spiritual rituals around a fire; Which sparked the Witchcraft trials that Reverend John Hale participated in. My character analysis is on Reverend Hale because his dedication to the witchcraft trials changed, he had confidence in John Proctor’s innocence, and he regretted signing Rebecca Nurse’s death warrant. There are many examples in The Crucible that portrays Rev. Hale’s dedication status, confidence, & regret.…

He joined the school band where he was given an alto horn but soon switched to the baritone horn and soon developed a love for the alto saxophone. His mother had more idealized views of Charles' academics then those that are given by the school and friends. A Fellow Student, Lawrence Keyes was quoted as saying, “If he had been as conscientious about his school work as he was his music, he would have become a professor, but he was a terrible truant . . . he was doomed to be a…
