Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin was the greatest explorer ever. He did some critical trips to South America. He is famous for his theories actually, not as an Explorer.Explorers in current find his discoviries useful.

First of all, he wasn’t just an “explorer”, he was an expert in many different things because of that he made his researches more rigarously. That also made his explorations more reliable He was a physican, a poet and a botanist. His researches and theories about the origin of life is as significant as it was now. He also studied in the best universities in country like Cambridge and Oxford. Historians recently found out that Darwin had read over 250.000 books! That is 200 times more than an average person, isn’t it incredible?

He was a humanist, he depend against racism and slavery bravely. He was taught to hate slavery. He didn’t use any footman for his own use.Isn’t “ a racist Explorer” a ridicilous concept anyways? How can an explorer explores different regions if he hates to be with people from other races and despises them? Just even thinking about it really makes me lose my temper, dont you feel the same?

Also, He witnessed many important natural events during his journey, especially in Chile. He was there when the destructive Chile earthquake stroke.120 main eartquakes happened in Chile since 1750 to 2012.Darwin has been in one which is %1.2.Thats a quite good percentage to make predictions about the future earthquakes and the geographical status of Chile.Observing a natural event like an earthquake gives you serious amount of information about the place so Darwin was a lucky man.Scientists say that Darwin’s studies and theories about the location was %89 accurate.Think about it, this is amazing because he found it 130 years ago, without any Professional tool!

I hope I convict you about Charles Darwin being the best Explorer ever because he

In response to the truthfulness of aforementioned statement, many factors must be taken into consideration. For example, if the act that led to the fame and glory of an explorer was actually founded in logic and science or if it was luck that led to their discovery and subsequent recognition. Also, one would have to consider the difference between their motives and the actual findings. For example, if they accomplished what they set out to do or if they ultimately failed in the mission they attempted to accomplish. Magellan was a mighty explorer because he converted a lot of people to Christianity and he was the first to discover very important places. When Ferdinand stopped in the Philippines on the island of Cebu, he tried to teach people about his religion, Christianity. People want to spread their religion and make more people a believer of what they believe is the one and only true religion. William Manchester writes in “A World Lit Only By Fire”, that, “by the end of the following week virtually every inhabitant of Cebu- a total of twenty-two hundred, according to one of the flota’s crew- had chosen Christ.” To convert thousands of people in just a few weeks to a totally new religion is a tough job, but Magellan was determined. He was also the first to discover many new places. He was the first to discover the tip of South America and sail around it. The passage he sailed through is now called the Straight of Magellan after him. He and his crew were also the first to sail across the Pacific Ocean. He also did it on limited food supplies.
