As I stated before I believed storytelling was just a form of entertainment or to learn new information. After hearing the other perspective I have learned, storytelling is not only to learn new information or for entertainment, sometimes your stories can truly inspire someone. As Sawdah stated, storytelling can be used to inspire others. This had changed my perspective because I thought through of how many of my idols have shared their stories and they have inspired me to be like them. As this personally relates to me I am able to see that storytelling is inspiring and I am able to connect with Sawdah on this point. As Grace said, sometimes storytelling is to make connections with others. When you tell a story you can form a bond with someone because you connect with them on the same point.

Your mood will change throughout the novel because that’s the power of storytelling. She shared how Esperanza was in difficult situations in her life, which some of us can agree with or understand. Also, in the novel Great Expectations, Charles Dickens shares the life of Pip and his journey. This relates to our discussion because by hearing how Pip had grown into a gentlemen, may inspire some of us to grow up and become more successful and thank the people who had helped us along our
