On August 9, 1969 the seven innocent victims of the Tate-LaBianca murders were senselessly slain by a vicious cult and their leader Charles Manson… Manson’s childhood was a troubled one, he was born Charles Milles Maddox on November 12, 1934 to sixteen year old Kathleen Maddox in Cincinnati, Ohio. Shortly after his birth, his mother married William Manson which gave him the name that is so well known today. Manson never knew his birth father. Not much is known about him other than he was a “Colonel Scott” of Ashland, Kentucky. In 1939, Kathleen was sentenced to prison for armed robbery, and a young Charlie spent the majority of his youth living in the homes of relatives and numerous boys homes. At the age of nine Charlie started his criminal career by burglarizing homes and stealing cars. Manson’s first violent offense came in 1952 when he sodomized another boy while holding a razor blade to his throat during his stay at a reform school. He was released in 1954 at the age of nineteen and met a young woman named Rosalie Willis. They married in 1955 and a year later had a son, Charles Manson Jr. One month after the birth of his son, Manson was arrested for stealing cars and sentenced to three years which he served in San Pedro, California; his wife filed for divorce. After his release in 1958, Manson made a living by pimping, stealing checks, and conning women out of money. During this time he met and married a woman by the name of Leona and had a second son named Charles Luthor Manson. Leona divorced Manson after he was arrested yet again in 1960 and sent to McNeil Island Penitentiary. While

Gacy and his siblings grew up with a drunken father who would beat the children with a razor strap if they were perceived to have misbehaved; the man physically assaulted Gacy's mother as well. Gacy had a highly disturbing history. He was convicted in 1968 and given a 10-year prison term in relation to the sexual assault of two teen boys. He was released on parole in the summer of 1970 but was arrested the following year again after another teen accused Gacy of sexual assault; the charges were dropped when the boy didn't appear during the trial. Born on November twelfth, 1934 In Cincinnati, Ohio, many people remember Charles Manson as the convicted serial killer who had become an icon of evil. In the late 1960’s Manson founded a hippie cult group known as “the family”, who he had manipulated into brutally killing others as a product of his madness. Manson was blamed for killing over nine people. Manson’s insanity could be seen as a product of lack of parenting from his parents, his brutal drug addiction, and the failure to launch his music career. Between his deep feelings of abandonment, and the lack of a family love he so desperately always wanted it is evident Manson had created his own family, not a family with the…

Walking the bridge from El Paso into Ciudad Juarez, America’s number one narcotics corridor, means stepping into a world that is many times more vibrant and violent, richer and poorer, yet still strangely invisible from the other side. A vendor hawking crucifixes runs from the police. A preacher waving a Bible shames three painted girls. The rust-colored hand of a beggar pokes out from beneath an Indian shawl. A four-year-old boy in a Joe Camel cap wanders the streets after midnight while his father sings $2 love songs. Then there are the dead bodies; the famous and the infamous and the anonymous gunned down in restaurants, stuffed into trunks, dumped in the street, sometimes choked with wire or burned by acid, often with their hands taped, legs bound, and heads hooded. While the typical headline shouts, “Another Victim”, this is all just business as usual.…

Marilyn Manson, originally named Brian Warner, was born on January 5, 1969. He grew up in Canton, Ohio. He was the only child of Barbara Warner and Hugh Warner. Marilyn Manson had a very troubled childhood. He grew up spending most of his time at his grandparents house, and he was enrolled in a very strict Catholic school. When Manson was a child he got molested by his neighbor. When Manson reported him, the neighbor was sent to military school, and later killed Manson's dog in vengeance. Manson once found a fetus in a coffee jar in a lot across the street from where he lived. Manson attended Heritage Christian School from first to tenth grade. However, the fear instilled there in a sensitive youth by certain “educators” was a strong influence in shaping his later attitudes and behavior. The more they terrorized him about what to avoid in life or be forever damned, and how to conform to their extreme version of Christian doctrine, the more he was attracted to expressing his individuality and seeking out the taboos they had identified. He joined a new school in Canton, GlenOak High, graduating in 1987, then moved with his family to Florida. There he studied Journalism and Theater at Broward Community College. While at college, Manson was Assistant Entertainment Editor for Broward's student paper, The Observer.…
