In the 1930s, Cleveland, Ohio, was becoming a booming metropolis. However, the talk of the decade soon appeared to be about the unsolved murders of multiple victims. The city’s safety director and police were stumped and challenged for over a decade in an effort to solve the cases presented before them. One in particular case aimed to solve the murder of a middle-aged woman known as Florence Genevieve Polillo. To this day, an official confession or discovery has not been made on who the actual killer of Polillo was; although much of the evidence suggests that Dr. Frank Sweeney is the murderer of not only Polillo, but also eleven other innocent…

The Green River Killer which normally flows from Washington State and empties into Puget Sea in Seattle. Gary Ridgway was the mastermind behind the slayings of prostitutes and runaways who were found missing in Seattle. The victims that he raped and strangled were found in or near the banks of the green river which was located south of Seattle. That is how Gary Ridgway got the infamous tittle the “Green River Killer”. Police and investigators found the remains of some of his victims Near Pacific Northwest Ravines along the freeways and also in the rivers. They discovered 49 bodies and they were all listed as propbable Victims of the Green River Killer. Between the 1970’s-1980’s the Green River Killer would lure prostitutes, Young woman, and runaways into his truck that he then drove and would force sex upon them. If they denied or even accepted he would strangle them and then dump their bodies. The bodies that he dumped along the railroad tracks, rivers, ravines, and freeways he called “clusters”. Gary Ridgway explained to authorities that he did this because he liked to keep track of the all the pretty woman he killed over the years. Sometimes his victims laid there for days, years, or maybe even decades until their bodies were discovered. He would occasionally drive through the county just to see the woman he had placed there and sometimes he would have sex with their expired corpse…
The first crime scene where multiple bodies were found was when investigators found Marcia Faye Chapman, Cynthia Hinds, and Opal Charmaine Mills in the Green River in 1982. Evidence was being collected at the crime scene by the first responding officers Dave Reichert and Sue Peters; Reichert was obtaining photographs of the riverbank while Peters recorded the procedures. “Reichert half slid down the bank-it was very steep, at least a seventy-degree angle” (Rule 20). As a result of Reichert’s recklessness he possibly contaminated the crime scene and both Reichert and Peter’s failed to continue taking pictures of the area where the third body was found on the river bank resulting in missing evidence of the crime scene. With missing evidence the task force assigned to the case will have trouble determining where the body was moved from because the microscopic evidence that would have been captured with pictures are now gone. According the our text Criminal Investigation in chapter nine it states “Thoroughly photograph everything before…

My investigation is a study of hydrology, as I want to find out how and why a rivers channel, flow and valley characteristics change as you move downstream from its upper course to its mouth. These changes are represented in the Bradshaw Model (fig 1), a fluvial model that describes changes in the river channel and flow characteristics between different courses along the river. Based on three factors, it is possible to infer information about the processes of river erosion, transportation and deposition that occurs along the river. I will use the Bradshaw Model to compare the river at Holford Combe with the characteristics that you would expect to happen and what impact these characteristics have on the formation of landforms along the course of the…
