Dear Editor of the Daily Sun, I am writing to inform you that I Zaynab Hafeji, a fellow student at Pleckgate high School, would like to express my perspective on why I consider Ched Evans, a ‘convicted’ rapist, should unquestionably be allowed to return to his job/career as a professional footballer.
You may think who in the right mind would possibly want a ‘condemned’ rapist out, back into the streets, as if nothing had ever happened! Well as I have stated several times above Ched was only convicted. There are many people who are wrongly accused of crimes they didn’t commit. Surely a two-year sentence has wrecked any future aspirations for Evans and most definitely tarnished his reputation. Isn’t that enough? It’s inevitable that the main logic of going ‘behind bars’ is to punish/penalize an individual for any wrongdoing. But also for them to look at life from a different perspective.
He spent an approximate of 730 days, in prison away from all his loved ones, for a crime he may not have committed. And now, he’s got the likes of Jessica Ennis displaying her animosity publically causing a vile spat directly to Ched!
I hope you take my views on this severe matter, and take it into consideration!
Yours Sincerely Zaynab Hafeji
