BRIEF COURSE OVERVIEW
BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION Introduces students to the application of safety and risk management in chemical engineering processes. The course will not only serve as an introduction to the fundamental principles of safety and risk management, but also to the practical application of the technology in industry. ASSUMED KNOWLEDGE GENG1803 TEACHING METHODS Lecture CONTACT HOURS Lecture, 4 hours per week for full term. CONTINUOUS COURSE EVALUATION AND IMPROVEMENT Each year feedback is sought from students and other stakeholders about the courses offered in the University for the purposes of identifying areas of excellence and potential improvement. Unit objectives have been modified while assessment items have been re-aligned to the new unit objectives. The HAZOP report mark allocation is now 22.5%, which most students see as a fair reflection of the effort required to complete this aspect of the course.
