Although ADP (Automatic Data Processing) is one of the leading providers of business outsourcing solutions, it has weaknesses that negatively affect the company. One significant aspect of ADP is that the company has clients in many foreign countries, but less than only 20% of ADP’s revenues come from other regions of the world. The company has been majorly focusing on customers’ needs here in the US, keeping their clients up to date with the current laws and regulations (their HR department) and making payroll processing convenient. What they lack, though, is a diversified geographic. It’s important to concentrate on the US operations, but other countries have specific issues that may need to be handled differently. If ADP wants to expand and take full advantage of their services, they ought to pay more attention to their geographic diversification.…

By choosing a specific age group the market shrinks even more. Chegg is an online textbook rental service. The main competitors of Chegg are Barnes & Noble (B&N) and Amazon. Both competitors are wildly recognizable brands. B&N recently released a statement that they will be closing more stores within the next few years. Chegg contacted our firm and asked us to do research into how they can attract the customers lost by B&N.…

As I walk through the dimly lit halls I feel a sudden pain as something yanks on my aching back. Shockwaves of pain shoot through my spine as I struggle to support the enormous weight pulling me to the center of the earth. Each step I take is made more and more difficult due to the bricks they call “textbooks” that I am forced to carry around; each one weighing a good 10-15 pounds and all shoved tightly within my ever-exploding backpack. For years I have imagined how much easier it would be to carry around a simple e-book or laptop that contains an exact copy of all my textbooks. I imagine the ease of being able to pull out my fully typed lap report or essay and being able to send it to the teacher via e-mail. Thankfully, schools have been transitioning into a more technological era and are taking the steps necessary to implement technology into the classroom. There are many aspects a school has to consider when making this technological leap, but the most important factors by far are the engagement of the students, the ease of the technology in the classroom, and the relationship between the teacher and the student.…

Deciding on a company to invest in should not be done without careful consideration. An analysis should be done first to help determine if the risks of investing in a company are likely to pay dividends. A SWOT analysis is a way to help an investor make that decision. A SWOT analysis is a tool that evaluates the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of an organization ("SWOT Analysis," n.d., para. 1). Taking the information from an environmental analysis and separating it into internal and external issues is the method the SWOT analysis uses to evaluate an organization ("SWOT Analysis," n.d., para. 1). Even before investing in a Fortune 500 company like Wal-Mart with revenues of $447 billion in 2012, it is important to evaluate the company to determine if it will continue to be a successful investment ("Wal-Mart Stores," 2012, para. 1).…
