It is labour-intensive. / Therefore, it tends to locate in places where cheap labour supply is abundant. (ii) Dairy industry is a market-oriented industry. / The final products of dairy industry, such as milk, cheese and yogurt, are perishable. / Therefore, it tends to locate near the markets so that the products can be delivered to consumers as soon as possible. (iii) Traditionally, iron and steel industry is a raw material-oriented industry. / Iron and steel industry in early years required huge amount of iron ore, limestone and coal as raw materials. / Therefore, it tends to locate near places with abundant raw material supply (such as iron ores and coal mines).
