The cherimoya is tropical American fruit with blend flavors such like banana, papaya, mangos and pineapple. The cherimoya it’s mostly grown in inlands and dry uplands forest. The origin of the cherimoya is the valleys of Ecuador, Columbia and Peru. In Peru, the cherimoya was an unknown fruit until the seed was send to Guatemala to be observed for thirteen years until it was sold on markets in Lima. In 1757 in was introduce in Spain and by 1940s and 1950s in gain importance that it replace many oranges trees and by 1953 there where about 262 acres. There are many cultural beliefs of the cherimoya such like how to fertilize, how to harvest, how to soil and many more.
For the cherimoya it needs to be fertilizing on a regular basis and which it should apply a balanced fertilizer. Also the cherimoyas respond to organic amendments. When cherimoyas are been harvest they should be clipped rather that pulled from the tree. Also cherimoyas should be picked when they are still firm and be stored at a room temperature. When applying the soil to the cherimoya it would turn to light to heavy. Mealybugs and snails are the main pest of cherimoya which can be controlled with tanglefoot that is tape around the
trunk.
According a website call stylecraze.com cherimoyas is not only to be eaten by hand or scoop with a spoon but it also use for skin, hair and health. Cherimoyas contain vitamin C which it helps improve the immune system. It also helps prevent infections and provides immunity for cold and flu. The Cherimoya help control blood pressure and heart rate, also it reduce bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol. Cherimoya contains calcium which it helps in preventing osteoporosis. Cherimoya keeps your skin healthy and glowing and it helps healing wounds. Also Cherimoya helps by preventing hair damage by free radicals and it also help removing lice.
Doing this research it didn’t change or challenge any of my benefit or opinion of food of any kind. It didn’t change my benefit or opinion of food of any kind because I already know there is much food that has different uses. What I learn from this research was that cherimoya are use more than been eaten it could be use for skin health and hair treatments. The other thing that I learn about cherimoya it was first discover in Peru which it took 13 years to test it and put them on local markets. Also I learn that cherimoya have mix flavor such like banana, pineapple, mangos, and papaya. I have not tasted a cherimoya but I would like taste one soon.
