D5&B1- It is important to phone the placement and check where the placement is and ask for directions if you are not sure, so that you will not get lost and be late to placement, which means also checking what time you have to arrive to placement because parents also make judgements on observations they make briefly, good first impressions reassure them. Also even arrange a pre-visit so then you will know where the placement is ready for whenever you start and discuss the things you need to know. Checking the dress code is very important because you will need to look presentable and be identified as a student and not a staff member. Also checking what equipment you need to bring with you to placement is important so you can carry on with what your expected to do and so that you are organised, also so that you are respected as an individual that cares, hardworking, so may be given extra responsibilities which leads to greater learning and enjoyment in placement. It’s very important you ask who you go to for advice/per-diaries so that you feel confident you can speak to someone when you feel the need to, and get your per-diaries filled out when due to. Plus you will need to find out the policies and procedures, this is very important so that you keep to your boundaries of what you can and can’t do, and anything that is expected of you like safeguarding which should always be taken into consideration if there was a situation…

I did not design the lunch menu for my center; however, I serve it to my children on a daily basis. We use the CRMC food service, which has many benefits. One positive aspect is that there is no extra cost to the center, and enough food is delivered daily so that each child is served the appropriate proportions. My center works with the hospital to create a “short cycle menu,” a menu that is different everyday and repeats itself after a certain number of days, specifically a one-week cycle menu that is chosen by our director with faculty input. This cycle menu shows strengths because the children seem to enjoy a shorter cycle of fewer foods, and our director is able to control the menu to ensure that quality foods are served. The food served each day includes the food groups required for a balanced diet with whole milk. None of the meals contain potential choking hazards and all food is cut with food scissors for my age group. Each month, our center updates our allergy alert sheet, which is posted in every classroom. The staff complies to each child’s needs everyday at lunch and snack. I would not change my centers lunch menu because it promotes a healthy diet, meets their nutritional needs, and the children like it.…

As a nurse practicing in today’s health care environment it is always important to be very attentive for the needs of the patient and the patient’s family. In order to realize the needs of the patient and the patients loved ones it is often helpful to conduct a family assessment. This assessment was carried out on an urban family which is in the middle income group. Some of the factors which were inferred from the assessment were as follows. In terms of values, health and nutrition, it was found that the members paid much emphasis to this. As s matter of fact, the initial family expenditure was on these three. Health is taken as a vital requirement and all the individuals need to have it. This is the same case with rest. Since most of the members are quite busy all through the day, the family spends some time together in the evening before retiring to bed. Most of the free time is spent having the family together in a relaxed atmosphere (Ritchie, 2012).…

I believe the most challenging aspect about this particular position is investigating a facility due to the allegations reported and properly documenting. When investigating a facility, one must be aware of their surroundings and properly multi-task because an investigation may involve talking to multiple individuals while receiving documents and presenting presenting facts. The main focus is to secure the child in that particular environment, by following all policies and procedures of the agency. This appeal to me because I've had a personal experience of child care negligence. When my daughter was younger she attended at child care facility that I trust and believe would properly care for my child. One day, I stopped by to check on her…
