To me, the answer would defiantly be a yes, parents should never interfere with a child’s passion, and parents should let them do whatever makes them happy. Giving my child that opportunity to fulfil their dreams and play something they’re truly passionate about would be worth it. From a more theoretical view, J.S Russell (2007) presents a couple of her view points In her article and one of them was very interesting; she titles one ‘The Values of Dangerous Sports’ In her own sense of opinions, she mentions, the need for physical danger during child development, as a means to teach children how to properly handle physical threats or any risk they may encounter later in the future. A child growing up not having any type of physical risk could result to the child not being able to deal with future accidents. Continuing with this problem, the same children will likely have difficulty finding courage (Russell, 2007).
