Which is as follows: I explained the client is in Star plus waiver, a 30 day letter was issued from ASH on 1/6/17 and an MDU slot was requested on 1/6/17 and then again on 1/12/17 as I did not get a returned email that Cindy Pollan had already retired. Nor did I get a returned phone call from her voicemail, which was still active. After speaking with other DADS/HHSC contacts, I got your information and we spoke on 1/25/17. This was the date his slot was released. I spoke to the parents and they selected a provider on 1/31/17. Thus me reaching out to Stacy on 2/1/17. At the time, I explained that ASH did not want to hold the client until 3/1/17 due to no longer meeting medical necessity and why they issued the 30 day letter. This caused an issue, the client cannot return home, ASH needs to dischrge, yet he cannot enroll until 3/1/17 because of the Star plus waiver. I called seeking guidance on if the waiting until the 1st of the month was an HHSC rule that could be reviewed and changed for this special case or was the rule from Medicaid.…

An act that was created many years ago to help single mothers support themselves and their children. In 1998 this federal act was made mainly so that it would take single mothers off of welfare. Couples were having children and fathers were not stepping up to the plate. They were finding ways around not paying child support; for example, moving/traveling to a different state to not pay. It was created to punish parents that would not pay their child support. Bill Clinton was the President that passed the act. Clinton expressed to the world that mothers were on welfare because they didn’t have anyone there to help them with their expenses of a child. The fathers weren’t around to take on the responsibility of a father calling them deadbeat parents.…

The child welfare caseworkers can be subpoenaed to produce client records and…
