Chillingworth's Revenge-Revenge In The Scarlet Letter By Nathaniel Hawthorne
Revenge- Revenge plays a big role in the Scarlet letter. Throughout the story, Chillingworth vows revenge on Hester’s secret lover, Dimmesdale the minister, and plans to let him die out of his own guilt.

Pearl- Pearl is a reminder of Hester’s sin. Sometimes Hester questions whether or not she is even real. Pearl is such a sweet and innocent character and keeps Hester on track and keeps her from doing anything she isn't supposed to be doing.
