Before the 80’s, Chinese art mainly served the communist party. From the beginning of 80’s, China opened the market to the world, the western culture and art came to the country. Though the government controlled the import of culture products, it can not stop people’s desire of knowing the outside world. Contemporary art were created to mainly express the claim of freedom, many of them even protest the political situation.
