Chivalry In A Knight

Chivalry is a code that is knights follow as it is like a law or set of principles that a knight lives by. Chivalry wasn’t an authentic code, but it was a set of morals that created the lifestyle of a knight. These set of morals explain how a knight should defend one's church and live by god, only fight for honor and glory, and many more in depth principles. Chivalry has been around for centuries, from the first crusades to what some believe it's still present in today's modern society, this had lead to a rather familiar quote “ Chivalry is not dead.” In today's society you mostly see chivalry in movies and stories. In this case I’m comparing how chivalry is used in different ways in A Knight’s Tale and Don Quixote, but the Knights have different motives.
Along the way you can see that William follows some of the Code of Chivalry. He isn’t really fighting for a church, but he is fighting for honor and glory. This is a stated in the movie when William states, “In one month we'd be on our way|to glory and riches”(Helgeland). William isn’t a traditional knight most knights are born into from being sons of a noble family. Even though he wasn't a real knight he followed the some the Code of Chivalry. The Code of Chivalry came naturally to William throughout his journey, no matter what he did on his journey it seemed he did it with
