10 simple steps to make your very own cookies to enjoy or give to others!
First, preheat the oven to 175°C.
Then, Microwave the butter for 30 seconds, allowing it to be half melted and half soft. ( how it should appear → )
By using your utensil of choice for mixing, mix together the butter with the sugars, and in addition, beat until the mix is smooth and paler in colour and the sugar has gone into solution.
After that, Add your sweet liquid of choice, vanilla and the egg, and lightly beat until just assorted through.
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt in the same mix, then mix until combined. If needed, add one tablespoon of the 'extra' flour at a time until the dough is still soft but strong enough to become a large ball.
Add in half of the chocolate chips.
Roll the dough into 18-20 balls and place them on a lined baking sheet with parchment paper.
Then, press on the remaining chocolate chips to the tops of each ball.
Bake the cookies for about 10-11 minutes. The cookies will look pale and puffed up, but should be golden around the edges.
Lastly, patiently let the delicious cookies cool off for 30 minutes.

Once you have prepared your kitchen you can get started on the recipe. First pour a pound of whole pecans and a teaspoon of cinnamon into the food processor and grind them to a fine chop. If you do not own a food processor you can purchase finely chopped pecans and hand mix the cinnamon into them; however, I do recommend the food processor method because you can chop the pecans to a nearly dust-like consistency. Set the cinnamon pecan blend aside while you start to prepare your dough.…

While preheating your oven, prepare the dough! Combine the 2 ¼ cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt in to your small mixing bowl. You won’t be using these right away, just set that aside while you prepare the rest of your dough. Now grab a large mixing bowl, add 2 sticks of butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and beat the four ingredients with your hand-mixer. Once the ingredients are well mixed together, crack the eggs into the mixture, one at a time. Beat the mixture until it is blended enough. Take the small bowl of dry ingredients, and slowly add small amounts into the already blended bowl. What you will be doing is adding a little, then using the hand-mixer to blend, little by little, until the dry mix is gone. Now you have the cookie dough. But wait! You have one last step! You can’t forget the chocolate chips! I tend to add the whole bag when making this dough, but feel free to add as many as you may please! Once you have added…

I do the process all over again until I have the amount I like, but still have some leftovers for later. Once I mix in the Oreos, I pour the mixture in a pan; any pan is good. If there is any left over you can just make more. Then you just place them in the oven, but be careful to not burn yourself, and wait for 40 minutes. I prefer checking on it every ten minutes and poking a toothpick in it, making sure…
