Choices In Kasmere's Grace Under Pressure
“Grace Under Pressure” is written by Kasmere, it is about the author talking to us about what she believes, and she believed in never giving up. She gives us her life story of her hitting rock bottom and she never stopped trying because she knew that god had good future plans ahead for her and if she gave up, she wouldn’t have them anymore. The literal message was that the author believed in grace under pressure, you have two choices in life, every difficulty comes opportunity. The author believed in many more things but those are the many things that came to mind. The author has been through many obstacles and she needed those to get to where she is today. She is a better and stronger person now because of what she has been through. In other words, what I think the author meant is life is hard at some points but it can’t let it stop you, the author wants you keep trying because god has plans for you. Even if you are at rock bottom or on the top, you still have to push yourself to do better things because at some points you're going to be at the bottom. You have to keep pushing through the tough times and get to the good times. I think this because of many reasons but I will tell you three. Secondly. “who we are meant to be” which also shows she believes in god. Lastly, “time will heal all wounds” which says about the author is that she had some weak points in her life but she is still

Throughout the entirety of the poem the mother compares her life to stairs that are broken down, dark, missing steps, and steps with tacks in them but she states she has never stopped climbing “But all the time I’se been a-climbin’ on,” and she used repetition by repeating a line to drive home the fact that her life hasn’t been easy. “And life for me ain’t been no crystal stair.” Using these two methods the mother clearly states that even though life isn’t easy but you must keep climbing and…

The theme of, "Mother to Son," by Langston Hughes, is to keep moving on even when the worst of times is trying to hold you back. "Life for me ain't been no crystal stair/It's had tacks in it/And splinters,"(line 2-4). With this in mind, I believe the narrator is trying to metaphorically explain that the tacks and splinters in the mother's life are the parts in her life where she experience the most pain, like becoming broke or losing a family member. These tacks are what slows the mother down in her long climb, but, as she keeps saying, “She's been climbin’ on.” Also, line seventeen through eighteen describes, “Don't you set down on the steps/'Cause you finds it's kinder hard.” This furthers the point of the difficulty of life, if you stop…

Everyone goes through rough patches and struggles in their lives. People go through grief, addiction, loneliness, pain and all kinds of hardships through important points in their lives. What defines most of us and makes us who we are however, are these tragic and painful moments of struggle. The Other Wes Moore by Wes Moore taught me that my own struggles and obstacles shouldn’t and cannot ever bring me down. In the introduction of the novel, Wes Moore says that “…our destinies can be determined by a single stumble down the wrong path, or a tentative step down the right one.” His statement has truly spoken to my soul, to inspire me to truly never give up and to never surrender to paths that will permanently pull me down.…

All men and women must endure the hardships that life brings. Not a single person gets through life without having to deal with grief, guilt, or responsibility. To survive, we must endure. However there is more to life than just surviving, and everyone has the choice to take life one day at a time and just survive, or they can look at the bigger picture and try their best to be successful and prevail. The human race is made up of winners, and those who just endure. Mankind as a whole does not share an unyielding soul, but a select few make the choice to triumph over their obstacles and become a better man from the experience. The message I got from this was that not everyone is who they seem. Also if something seems too good to be true then most of the time it is. He was trying to show us to not believe everything you say or hear because everyone and everything has the power to hurt you. You can’t help to believe most things but you can prevent getting hurt. People in this world most of the time just think of themselves and what can help them like what they will get in the long run. Not saying that there isn’t good people in the world because there is but sometimes they have good intentions they just don’t come out the way they want. Like viola she wasn’t trying to hurt anyone she was just trying to stay safe even though she manipulated and hurt a lot of people it wall worked out for her in the…
