Christian Eschatology Research Paper
There are some similarities between Islamic eschatology and Christian eschatology. They believe in:
1. Christ's Coming
Jesus (Isa) will return to over-throw al-Dajjal in the battle of 'Aqabat Afiq' in Syria, or at the Lud gate in Jerusalem according to another account. Jesus will "kill all pigs and break all crosses", confirming Islam as the only true religion. After 40 years Jesus will die and be buried next to Muhammad in Medina (Islam teaches that Jesus didn't die in A.D. 33 but has been in a state of "suspended animation" since)
2. Resurrection of the Body
All will assemble at the Mount of Olives to receive judgment.
3. Destruction of the present world
Allah will destroy all the nations except Islamic ones. At the end of Jesus' and the messianic Imam's rule, the angels will be destroyed

Signs preceding judgment day
The Jews will be gathered together. There will be a Final battle between Muslims and Jews. The Qu'ran also contains a version of the "Gog & Magog" war from the Bible with several differences.
5. Judgment will be announced with the trumpet of an archangel
In Sura 36:51 of the Qu'ran "And the trumpet shall be blown, and, lo! They shall speed out of their sepulchres to their Lord:"
6. All people will experience physical death.
7. Works will be judged on the scales of justice which will be hung on a pillared structure on the eastern side of the Temple Mount platform. If the scales show more good works than bad, the Muslim believer receives eternal life.
Some Muslims though of the Kharijite sect believe faith has to accompanied by works. A true Muslim is one who is rigorously observant of the Islamic teachings. (Esposito, p. 69)
8. They believe in Hell as an eternal punishment.
Hell is a lake of fire where non-Muslims/infidels live in torment.
Sura 4:56 "Some of them believe on the prophet [Mohammad] and some turn aside from him: - the flame of hell is their sufficing punishment"
9. Islam teaches that there are 8 levels of

Buddhism is a way of life that is continuously growing due to a variety of reasons. The word, Buddhism, derives from “budhi”, which means “to awaken” (White, 1993). There are various, diverse types of this philosophy. The Dhamma or truth, which is the core of this instruction, is the only constant (White, 1993). This is one on many worldviews prevalent in today’s society. This particular worldview, Buddhism, will be compared and contrasted with the biblical worldview.…

If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. 41Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, 42He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. 43He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. 44The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.…

I have a Christian worldview. A worldview is the structure by which an individual or group makes sense of the world. Philip Graham Ryken describes it as “our orientation to reality.” It seeks answers to questions like, “How did we get here?” and “In what is our ultimate hope?” Ryken believes all worldviews are inherently religious because they reveal our “fundamental convictions,” particularly what we believe about God. Further, he believes we all develop a worldview, whether consciously or subconsciously, with regard to the fundamental question of origin, problem, and hope. There are many factors which contribute to one’s worldview, including one’s background, experiences, education, socio-economic circumstances and nationality. Of course,…

Very interesting question. What happens if God decides to wait another thousand years to send his son to fill the prophecy? What if all the Jews decided he was not God's Son? He dies on the cross invane? Now to the proposed question. Does it really make a difference? No, not really, they would be like the Jews of today, still waiting for the Messiah to come and following the Torah. Therefore, they would go about their daily lives believing in God and following his laws and listening to people who profess to be prophets. Christians would not be going around professing to everyone that Jesus is God, not going on mission trips around the world to bring the good news to the nonbelievers and there would be a lot less holidays to celebrate each…

Christian Worldview I have a Christian worldview although it tends to be on the more liberal side of Christianity. It follows the foundational principals of Christianity and does not stray far enough into any other sects of religion that I could comfortably say that I am anything else nor would I be willing to drop my belief in Christ. God is the creator of the universe and all that is it. There is only one God. In Christianity, there is the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, all three are God, yet all three are separate. God is forgiving and loving. He made promises and is faithful to keep them. He created all that is wonderful and amazing. Our very first lecture stated, In corporate terms, God has ordained creation to be a…

The Koran says, “Those who invoke a god other than Allah not only should meet punishment in this world but the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to them, and they will dwell therein in ignominy." (Koran 25:68) and "Non-believers (Christians, Jews and all others) will go to hell and will drink boiling water" (Koran 14:17). The Bible says that unbelievers have a chance to be redeemed at any time of their life if they accept Jesus as their Savior. But, for those who don’t, It (hell) will be a place of misery and pain, where only the wicked will reside. And it will be eternal. There will be no escape, "No Exit." Throughout the Old and New Testaments, hell was described as a place of fire and burning. This "bottomless pit" is a "great furnace" in "outer darkness" (Mat. 8:12; 22:13), covered with a "mist of blackness (or, darkness)" (2 Pet. 2:17). "There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Mat. 18:41, 42) God sends no one to hell; anyone who goes there, goes by choice. This final section sums up everything this report has previously discussed –Austin…

In regards to an unsaved person, there are differing thoughts about what happens to their soul after they die. People argue that God sentences the unsaved to eternal punishment, others believe in annihilationism, and still others support the idea of universalism. Eternal punishment is the concept of unending misery in everlasting fire. Annihilationism is the belief that those who are not saved will perish and not suffer eternal misery. Universalism is the belief that all people will eventually be reconciled to God.…
