Christian Historical Love Novel Summary
Christian Historical Romance Novel

After growing up as an orphan, Josiah English wants nothing more than to have his own ranch and raise Arabian horses. Riding for the Pony Express seems like the ticket to his dream. And when he meets the stationmaster’s beautiful sister, it seems he may be within reach of the happy life he craves.

Mara Reid is thrilled to finally meet the man of her dreams, and the fact that they both want to raise horses in the Sweetwater River valley seems like confirmation straight from God.

But when the Express shuts down and Mara's family home is in peril, the danger looming over Mara's life may not be half as destructive as that threatening her

Throughout much of history, the transition between governments has proven to be chaotic. Whether this be recent Arabic transition of authoritarian states to Democracies, or old absolute monarchies to Republics they all seem to temporarily go through an era of confusion, violence and inquiry of the future. In Chapter one of "The Family Romance of the French Revolution" by Lynn Hunt the French Revolution was no exception. It brought about a new social order in which obedience of the people was in question. Hunt's argument involves the evolution of French Politics and how this revolutionary society intertwined with the arguments of English critic Burke, and the psychoanalysis…

The Sacred Romance, by Brent Curtis and John Eldredge, took me on a journey that teought me more about what God is doing behind the scenes of our lives to woo us to Him and only Him. God truly wants us all to join in a Sacred Romance with Him. The truth is, we all have the longing to form such a relationship with God Himself. Our hearts tell us that we need this relationship, but we continuously subdue the need and any desire, choosing instead to do life on our own. I guess if I had to choose, my favorite genre is Romantic Suspense Novel (mysteries without the gore). Carolyn Haines’ “Sarah Booth Delaney Mystery Series” always has me smiling and laughing. Alexander Mccall Smith’s “No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series” is wonderful, cheerful read. Joanne Fluke’s “Hannah Swensen series” has murder mysteries with recipes. I mostly read of non-fiction books, so when I read fiction is for entertainment. I have to admit I am a Harry Potter fan and I read all the books and listen to the audiobooks and watch the movies every year. Every summer after our summer reading program ends, we have a Harry Potter after hour party. We transform the library into Hogwarts. The children ages 10 – 17 love making the crafts,…

Every culture and society has a history of love stories. Stories about love have changed throughout time and adapted to whatever the current culture might be. But are these classic love tales better than modern tales of the twenty first century? Traditional love stories such as "Layla and Majnun" by Nizami are far superior to contemporary love stories such as "Middle Children" by Jane Rule. The characters have more powerful emotions of love in traditional love stories and the plot is more touching since the lovers can't be together as opposed to in modern stories, they can be together.…
