EXEGESIS: Being united with Christ means being saved by faith. God says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, and not by our own work. To be united with Christ is the result of an act of grace. To be crucified with Christ means that a person is united with Jesus in his death on the cross. Since nobody was literally crucified with Christ, it's a phrase that means “spiritual truth”. The verse Ephesians 1:4 says that God chose us in Christ before the creation of the world. When it says “it is no longer I who live”, it is talking about Christ living in us. Since we were crucified, we live by faith in the Son of God. Living by faith means every day, no matter what, you have confidence that God is good. Now to live your life for Christ, you have to try to become like Christ. To be close to God, you should try and pray every day, go to Church every Sunday, read the Bible a lot, find things to be grateful for (such as his blessings, His wisdom, the beautiful way he made the earth, etc.). and do things that bring you closer to Christ and His guidance. When we live in the Son of God, we have access to His guidance, His leadership, and His direction. This will make us a better person and
