This man was the leader of all leaders. This man was Jesus Christ. A leader is defined by Webster’s Dictionary as a “guide” or a “directing head or chief”. Throughout this study there will be many examples of Jesus’ strong leadership skills. We will see how we need to, as Christians, follow Jesus’ example of leading people with love, encouragement, forbearance, strength, understanding, motivation and a steady, guiding hand. These will be skills that you can use in the modern world today to guide people within your church, home, business or any other type of organization. All great leaders should have a vision statement. Creating a vision statement means setting goals of where you want your organization to be in the future. This helps to keep your people focused and motivated. You can think of your vision as the big picture. Keep in mind that you need to use the Christian examples of leadership styles as shown to us by Jesus in the following text. Let’s take a look at Jesus’ vision statement for His
