I. What is a Worldview?
A worldview is the lens in which one interprets the world around them. It is the framework in which someone operates to form their actions, thoughts and opinions. One’s worldview impacts the way they view “life’s most important questions,” (Weider & Gutierrez, 2011, p. 51).
II. What is believed?
1. The question of origin
The question of origin or where do we come from is a question that most religions ponder. The Christian Worldview on the question of origin can be found in Genesis 1. Everyone wants to have a purpose in life. Christians find their purpose in glorifying their Creator. This is accomplished by being a light to the fallen, sinful world; showing them the glory seen through the death and resurrection of our Lord (Matthew 27-28, Matthew 5:13-16). Glorifying God can be accomplished through a variety of actions such as worshipping, obedience, and prayer but the main purpose is found in Matthew 28: 18-20 in the passage known as the Great Commission. If we are not making disciples then we are glorifying God for others to see. Heaven exists for the souls that believe that Jesus Christ is their Savior and Hell exists for the souls that have rejected Jesus Christ as their Savior. Anyone can receive the free gift of eternal life that was bought by the death of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). To receive the gift one has to believe and know that God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to save humanity from their sins through His perfect life, death and resurrection (John 3:16). When one understands what has been done, their life will be forever changed and will be evident through the act of sanctification. Sanctification is the product of a changed heart that their soul will spend eternity with their heavenly. Ultimately, the souls of humanity will end up either in Heaven with God or in Hell separated from God for
