Research shows that pigs are incredibly complex and conscious creatures. In fact, a study was conducted that concluded that not only are pigs able to emotionally connect to other pigs, but are able to anticipate future events as well/ Pigs also have personality structure, are able to play and explore within social relationships, and display a wide range of emotions (Bekoff, 2015). This research shows that pigs are both social and conscious creatures, meaning that they should have ultimate animal rights. This would prove that pigs should be treated humanely because it causes moral growth and is evidence of a good soul. This would deem the practices of Premium Standard Farms as …show more content…
In fact, the Bible is filled with strategic leaders who developed processes to simplify processes and overcome various obstacles. For example, Joshua used process strategy to enter Jericho, Jesus used a divine strategy to unite heaven with earth and provide redemption for mankind, and Paul used a strategy to establish the early church (Marshall, 2002). It is evident that God uses processes and strategies to complete tasks throughout the Bible. However, the strategies that are implemented Biblically uphold ethical frameworks, and are morally sound. This would conclude that from a Biblical perspective, Premium Standard Farms is not behaving unethically in their desire to uphold a process strategy that will create the most success for its’ company. However, the company’s mistreatment of God’s creation, which they have been given dominion over, violates God’s design, and is therefore unethical. If Premium Standard Farms is able to develop a process that is both efficient and profitable, and allows the pigs the amount of space, mental stimulation, and social interactions to maintain good health, this would be the idea way for the company to
