In Matthew 5:43-48, Jesus is teaching that one should love their enemies. In order to love an enemy, Jesus requires us to "Love" our enemies, not hate them. There may be people that do not like us for various reasons. We are to treat them like we want to be treated no matter what they do to us. “Pray” for those who spitefully use us and persecute us.
