Christianity In Animal Farm
In the story portrayed by the book “animal farm”, farm animals in the typical farm setting start a rebellion led by the intelligent pigs of the farm. After they kick “ Mr. Jones” their owner/ farmer out of the farm yard and lock the gate they begin a redesign of their government so that every animal is equal. They created simple laws for the less intuitive animals to follow : four legs good, two legs bad; and all animals are equal. The animals took over the farm and led by the pigs they ran the farm and did all of the chores. Eventually the pigs became dictators and exploited the farm animals just like the humans did. They went as far as changing their code to : four legs good, two legs better.
Some might believe that napoleon the pig just wanted to make everyone happy and that it takes a lot to run a farm like a nation. Sometimes tough decisions need to be made for the betterment of the future. Like napoleon and

No matter what there's always that one person or persons that run everything. Thats why i admire so many religions such as christianity. In my personal opinion, even though i have a lot more research to conduct, christianity is made up in order to better the world. I obviously don't believe this or if there is a god or not. There's just too many doubts right now. Here's one of them, what if christianity is made up by a group of people who saw what people do. Its primal for humans to be selfish, to use others for their advantage. Maybe this group saw that. Maybe they imagined what the world would turn into eventually. So they came up with a story that they made everyone believe with a little convincing, a little manipulation. They made a way of life that convinced everyone to care for one another, that raised children to give to others before they took care of themselves. Honestly its beautiful but the question is, is it

Animal Farm is the account of a fictional farm under the tyrannical ownership of Farmer Jones. The animals reach breaking point, and start a revolution against the tyranny of man. One of the many ways that napoleon stays in power is by animalism. Animalism is a government made up by the pigs, it has seven commandments but can be simplified into “Four legs good, two legs bad”. The pigs changed the commandments throughout the story so that the commandments will benefit them and only them. For example there is a rule that no animal shall drink alcohol, and the pigs took it upon themselves to change the rule while they were under the influence themselves! The new rule read(italics mean the new part) ‘no animal shall drink alcohol to excess” The pigs eventually changed all of the commandments into one rule which read” All animals are equal but some are more equal than others”.…

Reverend Charles Caleb Colton, a writer of pros and poetry, once said, “Corruption is like a ball of snow, once its set a rolling, it must increase”. Once corruption has started, there is so many people involved, greed sets in, and it’s so big of a problem it is so hard to stop it or leave it alone, and once you’re in too deep it’s difficult to get out. Under those circumstances, a book called “Animal Farm”, by George Orwell, was an allegory. It was published on the heels of World War II in England in 1945 and in the United States in 1946. The book was written during the war as a cautionary short story in order to expose the dangers presented by Stalinism and Totalitarian Government. With this intention, the pigs on Animal Farm used the three modes of persuasion to manipulate the other animals on the farm.…

In both of the dysfunctional societies, the characters believe they are equal but in reality they are not equal with others at all. Once Jones is overthrown from the farm In Animal Farm the pigs assume the position of leaders and “So it was agreed without further agreement that the milk and the windfall apples (and also the main crop of apples when they ripened should be reserved for the pigs alone” (Orwell 52-53). Never starting of as equal, pigs have special privileges that others do not have; they start off making a majority of the decisions without the rest of the animals agreeing to it. Being the only ones who eat the apples and drink the milk the pigs also come up with the Seven Commandments and put them into place without having the other animals help decide what they should be. Intelligent or strong people have a handicap in “Harrison Bergeron” and George Bergeron happens to have both. These…

In the novel, Animal Farm, by George Orwell, the abuse and injustice of political power is expressed through the animals on the farm. Orwell illustrates that any society which has leaders with absolute power is ultimately doomed to failure due to the inevitability of leaders manipulating power for their own personal benefit. First, Orwell highlights how the society’s ideologies can be manipulated and twisted by those in positions of social and political power. One example is that the pigs are trying to indoctrinate the other animals by making the others chant the slogan, “Four legs good, two legs bad” (22), serving no purpose other than to drown out dissenting opinion. Although the slogan seems to help the animals achieve their goals, it soon…

“All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” This is the one and only commandment in the the text called Animal Farm. This is where animals are essentially slaves, and get little to no pay or food. The novel animal farm is about animals who take over their farm with brute force. They run the farm not so smoothly with the pigs, and napoleon who was supposed to represent stalin. The pigs running the whole farm with the other animals forced into labor. In the end the pigs basically turn into humans and the other animals become their slaves. The reason the pigs got that far is because they used their language as power. In Animal Farm, George Orwell presents the idea that leaders can manipulate anyone with the power of language, because they can convince their citizens that napoleon was a good even though he definitely was not.…

In “Animal Farm” the pigs took over dictator ship and then changed the rules to benefit the pigs making them higher than the equal and the rules that they changed are better for them because what the pigs changed benefited the most because the other animals wouldn’t start doing what they did because they know that the pigs are higher. Just like in the Harrison Bergeron movie where everyone is equal and if they are better in any way or are unequal in any kind of way they will make them even by making them walk with these big excruciating weights on their arms, legs back, and chest to make them all equal and to the ones who were intelligent or even a bit more thoughtful and active with their thoughts they would be forced to wear a device that shocks their head every time they think of something that they shouldn’t be thinking of.…

Sir Francis Bacon once said “Knowledge is power.” In Animal Farm, pigs realize the truth of this statement and exploit the opportunity their knowledge gives them to gain power. The pigs bestow the power over the farm upon themselves by convincing the other animals of their superior intelligence. The pigs do this in several ways. The first occurred with the death of Old Major when rebellion approaches. The other animals allowed the pigs to teach them and plan for the rebellion. “...The work of teaching fell onto the pigs…” (Orwell 15). As the pigs teach the ways of “animalism” they discerningly begin to exhibit their power over the others by assuming the positions of teachers. By the time the rebellion arrived it felt natural to the farm animals for pigs to assume the positions of leadership because the pigs had already…

The hierarchical structure of 'Animal Farm' shows how society is split into classes. The novel shows this by how the pigs who are at the top treat the other animals, often in a poor way. "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others. pg.90" this commandment in the story shows how some animals are more "equal" or dominant than others, in this case the pigs. Throughout the book, the pigs never lifted a trotter in most occasions, "All that year the animals worked like slaves...Throughout the spring and summer they worked a sixty-hour week." (pg.40.) By the pigs propaganda and intelligence, all the animals were easily manipulated to doing all the hard work, believing that it was for their own benefit as well as happily working for the pigs. These social classes, creates a hierarchical structure within 'Animal Farm' where the pigs being at the top of the system while the other animals at the bottom.…

The first thing that the animals changed about the farm is the name. They changed the name of the farm from Manor farm, to Animal farm. They all learn the song "beasts of England" that Old major had taught them before the rebellion. They have also made up 7 commandments that all animals on the farm must live by. They use the phrase "four legs good, two legs bad," to remember the 7 commandments. They use this because not all animals on the farm can read, but sense the rebellion a lot of them have learned, or have learned few letters of the alphabet. The pigs can read and write perfectly. They have made the majority of animals to believe that they are the most intelligent animals on the farm, so they should be in charge. Instead of Mr. Jones telling the animals what to do, the pigs make the decisions. All the animals are happy because they get to live their lives without the humans. The animals work for the pigs without questioning their authority. They are happy because the pigs watch as the hard working animals (like boxer for example) does all the work. Boxer now believes that Napoleon is always right, so he does whatever he wishes. Some animals decide to leave the farm (Molly for example), but most animals have stayed loyal to the farm and put forward a lot of hard work and dedication.…

From Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I have a dream...” to the millions of books sold each year, words and thoughts play a major part in society. However, it was the actions of people like Ghandi and Napoleon Bonaparte that really changed the world. In George Orwell’s Animal Farm, the animals are living under the care of an abusive “master”, but with the help of the superiorly intellectual pigs, the illiterate animals successfully run the farmer off the farm. The pigs, with the consent of the other animals, setup seven commandments that will keep any of the animals from gaining too much power over the other animals.…

In Animal Farm, it is ironic that the pigs created the Seven Commandments as the basis of their society, Animalism, but eventually disregarded those principles and evolved into the things they despised most, the humans. The evolution of the pigs into human-like creatures was gradual, starting out with more minor changes to their philosophy. Some of these initial changes that went against their Seven Commandments were pigs sleeping in the beds of Mr. Jones's old farmhouse, drinking alcohol, and killing other animals, like the time when Napoleon brutally murdered many animals for their communications with Snowball. Later on came the more drastic changes to the Seven Commandments. Originally inscribed as the first commandment was "Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy." In this story, we can see this commandment being disregarded when Napoleon comes into contact with Mr. Frederick to sell a pile of lumber to him. Also, it is evident that the pigs's beliefs have changed when they are spotted walking on two feet in the end of the story. All of the other animals are taken aback by this disobeying of Animalism. Even with all of these alterations to the Seven Commandments, the most prominent is when they change the last commandment to "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." This change from a socialistic society, where all are equal, to a dictatorship where the pigs are in charge of everyone else shows the final step that the pigs take in totally disregarding the Seven Commandments, and adopting a human way of…

We meet the "evil" farmer Mr. Jones and the animals at the farm, first led by the oldest and wisest animal, the pig called Old Major. The animals are driven too hard and are given too little food by the farmer, who has started drinking. They are planning a revolt against the "capitalist reign" (Mr. Jones) who is taking their harvest and controlling the income. A big meeting is being held in the main barn after Mr. Jones has gone to sleep and Old Major holds a speech that makes the animals realize the time for change has come. In this speech, he also states that "All animals are equal", and they should all stay together to achieve equality. After Old Major's death, the animals, now led by Snowball (another pig) chases Mr. Jones away and claim the farm for their own. Mr. Jones tries to retaliate but is struck back once more, confirming their victory. The animals now make seven rules that apply to all the animals on the farm.…
