Christians worship with fellow believers in a church, but Islamics worship in mosques. A holy book is a key part of worship and faith in both religions. For Christians, the Bible is important for understanding and studying God’s will for ones life and the history of the religion. Islamics use the Quran for instruction and worship. The Christian faith and Islamic faith each have distinct traditions that are special to the religion. Christians possess traditions dating back to the biblical times including marriage, baptism, and communion. For Islamics, prayer five times a day facing the city of Mecca, the city which they consider holy, is essential. One of the oldest traditions of the Islamic faith is the hajj, which is the pilgrimage to the city of Mecca.
