First giving honor to God for saving me. Thank you for allowing me to see another day and allowing my voice to be heard.
I would like to give thanks to my mother Ronnett, my grandmother Betty and my great grandma Madea. Thanks for the conversations and encouraging words. Thanks for supporting me through everything journey life has lead me. I love you all more than words can explain.

I had an IV bag in my right arm and blood was being drawn from my left.
They used the IV to flush out my system.
“You’re really lucky they found you when they did” said the lady nurse.
I looked around the room trying to focus my eyes on everything that was happening.
“You have a waiting room full of loved ones, but only one can come back” she continued.
“I’m sorry, please forgive me” I cried to no in particular.
The nurse stopped what she was doing and came to my bedside and spoke, “it is okay, there is no need to be sorry, calm down, you’re safe now.” She said hugging me.
I had dozed off.
There was no stop movement going on in my room. There were police officers, the paramedics and hospital staff. They were asking me all types of questions I could not answer.
They wanted to know if this was my first suicide attempt. Did anyone assist me in my attempt? Did I know my name, my date of birth, todays date? The questions kept coming.
I began to cry. Why was they treating me like I am crazy, of course I know my name, of course I know my date of birth, but the one thing I didn’t know was whether it was night or day, Monday or
